Nau mai, Haere mai ki Magical
Moments Early Childhood Centre

We warmly welcome every child and their whanau into our learning community, where everyone is valued, respected, and has a sense of belonging. By working in partnership with families, sharing stories, celebrating cultures, and supporting one another, we create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, confident, and connected.

Together, we build meaningful relationships that honour the unique strengths of every child and whänau. Through kindness, trust, and collaboration, we create magical moments of learning every day.

“He waka eke noa – We are all in this together.”

Little moments, made magical

Whānau first

At Magical Moments, whanaungatanga is at the heart of everything we do. We believe strong, respectful relationships create the foundation for children to learn, grow and thrive.

We maintain an open-door policy and provide regular photo updates to keep whānau connected and build strong relationships within our community.

Play-based learning

Te Whāriki is woven through child-led play, where tamariki lead and guide their learning through exploration, discovery and adventure.

Healthy kai onsite

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon kai are cooked fresh in our kitchen every day, in collaboration with KidsCan.

Small groups, big hearts

Generous ratios so every tamaiti gets lap time, kōrero and cuddles when needed.

We provide three rooms for our tamariki

Te Pakiaka Oki Room

Our infant room is a calm, peaceful, and homely environment where every pēpi is nurtured with love, warmth, and responsive care. We create a safe space where infants feel secure, valued, and free to explore at their own pace.

Te Ara Oki Room

At Magical Moments, our transition space is a gentle place where infants grow into confident toddlers.

Guided by Te Whāriki, we support children’s wellbeing, belonging, relationships, and independence through warm, responsive care and child-led learning.

Te Oki Room

Our older preschool room is a nurturing environment where tamariki are supported to become confident, capable learners as they prepare for school.

Placeholder quotes — we’ll swap in real Google & Facebook reviews as they come in.

“Teachers runs through the gate without a backwards glance now. The kaiako noticed she loved bugs and built a whole week around it. It really is a bit magic.”

Sarah · māmā of Ruby, 3

“As first-time parents we had a hundred questions. The team answered every single one — and Nikau’s daily photos get the whole whānau group chat going.”

Questions parents ask

How does the 20 hours free offer work?

For our opening period, every enrolled child — including under-3s — gets their first 20 hours each week free. It stacks with the government’s 20 Hours ECE for over-3s. Conditions and availability apply; we’ll walk you through it on your tour.
